When it comes to choosing the right material for your cake topper, the first thing you want to make sure is that it is safe to be put on top of something that you, your loved ones or your clients are going to be putting in their mouth. Even though the topper itself is not meant to be eaten, some glitter papers on the market may shed their sparkles quite a bit.
The materials I am using are non-shedding and food-safe. Acid and lignin free.
Toppers are glittered on one side and are white on the opposite side. Made of smooth non-shedding glitter cardstock in two different finishes: High and Low Shimmer, see examples:
The coins are for grain size reference.
Why High Shimmer and Low Shimmer to choose from?
Well, I see it this way: cake styles are different, not all of them would benefit from strong bling and sparkle, while all can benefit from a nice cake topper. Both glitter finishes I offer are beautiful in each own way, so you choose what would work better to enhance your particular project.
High Shimmer paper is sparkly, blingy and glamorous. Just right for those cakes that need some wow factor as a final accent. Just note that text readability in some more complex designs may suffer a bit because of the shine and glare.
Low Shimmer paper is great for those occasions when you want something less screaming, more subtle, formal or delicate, yet still, have a wonderful design element and a pop of color on top of your cake as a finale. This is where toppers from Low Shimmer paper truly”shine” without actually shining too much. This paper provides great readability for the text because the glare is low.
There are also FLAT Black and FLAT Red Low Shimmer glitter papers I stock. These are even less shiny, almost velvety, yet with a definite grain like fine sandpaper.
All toppers can be purchased with or without sticks attached, so you can use the cutouts not only as cake toppers, but play around with crafting your other party decorations.

Please, note: the color on the palette image may vary slightly from screen to screen. The colors of paper may vary slightly from batch to batch so the same color may have a little different shade from one order to another. If you are ordering a few toppers in the same color, they will come from the same paper batch. If that color is unavailable in such quantity, I will contact you before making your product and offer a color options adjustment or refund.
